As the Head of Key Stage 4 and 5 at Edison Global Academy – Lusail, I affirm our commitment to delivering academic excellence through a robust and internationally aligned curriculum. Our IGCSE and post-IGCSE programs are designed to provide our students with the essential knowledge, skills, and academic guidance required to excel in accordance with global standards set by the international boards Pearson, Edexcel, and Cambridge.

Key Stage - 3

At Edison Global Academy-RH, we recognise that Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) is a crucial period in your child’s education. This stage serves as the foundation for success in IGCSE and beyond. That’s why we are committed to providing our students with the essential knowledge, skills, and academic support they need to excel.
As part of our vision to equip students for the future, we are integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into our curriculum alongside advanced learning opportunities in AI, Coding, and Robotics. These fields are shaping the modern world, and we want our students to be at the forefront of innovation. Through hands-on projects, interactive learning, and exposure to cutting-edge technology, we will prepare them for a rapidly evolving digital era.

Key Stage - 4

At Key Stage 4, our programme includes one accelerated pathway where students complete four IGCSE subjects by the end of  Year 10. 

Subject Requirements: 

  • Arabic (First Language) is compulsory for students with Arab passports and an Arabic identity, following the Cambridge IGCSE Arabic – 7180 specifications.
  • English is offered as English as a Second Language (ESL), following Cambridge IGCSE 0991.
  • Mathematics is studied through the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Modular Option.
  • Science is chosen by students from one of the following single-science pathways, all delivered as Pearson Edexcel Modular Options:
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

In addition to these external qualifications, students also study Islamic Education, following the curriculum endorsed by the Ministry of Education, as an internal compulsory subject. 

Year 11 Pathways 

 In Year 11, students have a wide range of subject pathways to select from. These options support their intended university and career choices.

Set 1 – Medical Pathway

Designed for students who plan to pursue medicine or health-related majors.

  • ICT
  • Physics
Set 2 – Engineering Pathway

Designed for students intending to pursue engineering or technology-based careers. 

Subjects studied: 

  • Physics 
  • ICT

Set 3 – Literature and Humanities Pathway

Designed for students who do not intend to join science-related universities, with a focus on business and tourism fields.

  • Business 
  • Travel and Tourism
  • ICT

Year 12 Programme (AS Level)

In Year 12, students study AS Level subjects that prepare and qualify them for university admission. The school offers a wide selection of academic disciplines that support a variety of higher-education pathways.

 Students select the combination of AS subjects that aligns with their chosen career path and university requirements.
